Getting started
Sign up and get approved
Creating an account also starts an application for your business. The Biosphere team reviews each application before the business can use Biosphere.
Create an account
- On the sign-in screen, select Create an account.
- Enter your Work email, your Business name and a Password of at least 8 characters.
- Select the Create account button.
You are signed in straight away and taken to the business survey.
Answer the business survey
The survey has seven questions, one per screen:
- What your business is called. Your business name from sign-up is already filled in; you can change it.
- Roughly what your annual revenue is.
- How many distinct products you sell.
- What you would like Biosphere to do. Choose everything that applies.
- What you run today. Optional.
- How you heard about Biosphere. Optional.
- What is hardest right now. Optional, but the most useful thing you can tell the team.
The first four need an answer before you can go on. Choosing Referral or Other shows a short optional field for details. Use the Continue and Back buttons to move between questions, and finish with the Submit application button.
Wait for approval
After you submit, Biosphere shows Application received. The team reviews your application and confirms the next steps. When booking is offered, Book your setup call appears below it so you can choose a time for a setup call.
You can sign out from the top of the screen and come back later. Until the team decides, signing in brings you back to this screen.
When your business is approved, Biosphere emails you “{Your business} is approved on Biosphere”, listing the parts of Biosphere that are ready to use. The email’s Open Biosphere button opens your workspace.
If the application is declined, the screen shows Application closed, and an email named “Your Biosphere application for {Your business}” includes any note from the team. To ask about the decision, reply to that email.
What to know
- If the survey does not open after sign-up, sign in with the same email and password. Biosphere opens the survey so you can finish your application.
- One account belongs to one business. A second person who signs up starts a separate business application.
- Approval decides which parts of Biosphere your business has, such as Inbox, Catalog or Scout. If something you need is missing after approval, ask the team. See Get help.
