Choose your modules
Modules choose the sections shown in the sidebar and the tools offered to Scout. Your business starts with Nursery off and the other modules on. Projects includes All projects and Delivery items; Sales includes Sales orders and Payments. Reporting controls the Reporting section. Reporting tools remain available to authorized Scout and API clients. Nursery adds At Nursery price and Nursery only to catalog variants. Scout and Knowledge are always available and cannot be turned off.
- Open Configure, then General → Modules.
- Select the modules your business uses. Each choice saves automatically.
- Wait for Saved beside the choice. If saving fails, the previous choice returns with an error; select the checkbox again to retry.
The choices apply to everyone in your business. Turning a module off hides its sections, fields and optional advertised tools. Pages, record links and authorized operations still work. Your records stay saved and background work continues. Nursery field values remain available through authorized API reads and writes, and reappear when Nursery is turned on again.
To show a section again, select its module. Scout can tell you which module to turn on. Modules do not grant or remove access permissions.
