Follow payments across orders

Open Configure → Payments to review current sales-order payment status, individual transactions and connected test accounts. Payment status is separate from fulfillment status; a reported imported order total does not prove collection.

Find an order’s payment status

Use Overview for one row per order. Search by order or customer and filter by status, source, account or date. Select a row for its payment preview, with links to its order, customer, source evidence, attempts and recovery actions. Expand to full page gives more space. Reload and browser Back keep filters. An invalid filter link offers recovery instead of silently showing more records.

Read transaction history

Use History for captures, recorded receipts, voids, refunds and unfinished Checkout attempts. A completed Checkout appears as its capture once. History dates are transaction dates; recorded receipts keep their entered received date. The payment link on an order opens its history directly.

Mounted payment views check saved state every 15 seconds. A browser return from Checkout does not prove capture. Pending or uncertain refunds need their existing retry or reconciliation action; do not submit a second refund to resolve uncertainty. See Review tax, shipping and test payments.

Understand totals

Captured, recorded, refunded and net totals cover the same selection as the list. Only confirmed records contribute. Summaries use USD at each order’s saved sales-date rate; original transaction rows retain their amount and currency. Missing rates leave affected totals Incomplete. A refund-only selection can have negative net collections. These totals are not bank balances.

Voiding a recorded receipt reverses its reporting effect without returning money. Correcting it keeps its original and reversal in history; see Record a payment received.

Check test-payment configuration

Open Configuration to review server readiness and attached test accounts. Attach the intended connected account, then use Check with Stripe for a fresh readiness observation. An account ID alone does not configure Checkout. If the provider is unavailable, ask an administrator to finish server setup.

What to know

Online collection uses Stripe test mode only. Merchant onboarding, bank setup, payouts and supplier payments are not available. Do not enter live payment details. Scout can read payment state and explain next steps; it cannot start Checkout, refund money, record receipts or configure an account for you.
